The RIEJU riders already stood out in that opening SuperTest special. Eric Miquel, FIM SuperEnduro European Cup Champion, used the event to make his debut in traditional enduro and set the third-fastest time in the Enduro3 class, while Francesc Aguilar was fifth in the same category. Liam Sanjuan also placed fifth, in his case in Enduro1, and Jordi Galera was seventh in Junior Open, all of them riding the RIEJU MR 300i.
On Saturday, high temperatures and dry ground created thick clouds of dust on fairly fast specials, making visibility difficult for the riders.
Liam Sanjuan, competing against top World Championship riders, finished fifth in Enduro1. In Enduro3, Francesc Aguilar, now recovered from his hand injury, made his return to racing and climbed onto the third step of the podium, followed by Eric Miquel, who finished fourth on his debut. Jordi Galera, who struggled to find his feeling on the bike, was sixth in the highly competitive Junior Open class.
On Sunday, rougher and more technical specials, combined with even higher temperatures, made the race more demanding still. In Enduro1, Sanjuan pushed hard and once again held fifth place, while Francesc Aguilar repeated his third place in Enduro3. Eric Miquel was overtaken by a rival and finished fifth. In Junior Open, Jordi Galera improved on the previous day's performance to finish fourth in the category.
In the Women's class, María Sanmiguel, who was provisionally second in the championship, was unable to compete at La Torre d'Oristà after breaking her collarbone at the last round of the World Championship in Wales. She underwent surgery and is now in the recovery phase.
5 Podiums for the Family&Friends Riders
The Family&Friends riders on their RIEJU MRs also delivered standout results. In the Master 55 class, Josep Marsal took second place on both Saturday and Sunday, while Javier Castejón finished fifth on Saturday and improved on Sunday to take third. Arturo Casanovas also reached the podium, finishing second on both race days in Master 60, results which combined made him the overall winner.
The next round of the 2026 Spanish Enduro Championship will take place in A Peroxa, Galicia, from 31 October to 1 November.
