ROSIE ROWETT CONTINUES TO DOMINATE HER CLASS IN THE FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER THE THIRD ROUND

Adding another double win, Rosie Rowett and her MR PRO extend their lead in the French Enduro Championship in the Women’s category, while Loïc Larrieu narrowly misses out on the podium with 5th/4th results in E3.

ROSIE ROWETT CONTINUES TO DOMINATE HER CLASS IN THE FRENCH CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER THE THIRD ROUND

In the town of Moirans-en-Montagne, in the Jura region, the Moirans Motorcycle Club hosted the 3rd round of the 24MX French Enduro Championship. Under sunny summer conditions, a large crowd gathered at the special tests to enjoy the competition. Riders kicked off the event with a SuperTest on Friday night, and on Saturday and Sunday the challenge continued with both a Cross Test and an Enduro Test, located just minutes from the town.

Rosie Rowett arrived at this third round as the championship leader in the Women’s class with 97 points, thanks to three wins in the four race days held so far. Although she started off second, she managed to attack and overtake her French rival to claim victory on the first day.

On Sunday, with her main opponent out due to a crash, Rosie once again climbed to the top step of the podium, clearly dominating the Women’s category. Thanks to her undefeated performance, the British rider maintains the championship lead and leaves France with 147 points, giving her a solid margin in the title fight.

In the E3 category, French rider Loïc Larrieu faced tough competition, with rivals pushing hard for the best times in the special stages. Despite his efforts, a few mistakes and a crash on Saturday dropped the Rieju rider to fifth place.

On Sunday, the level remained high in the premier class. Larrieu was pushing hard again, but another crash slowed him down. Even so, he recovered time on the final lap aboard his MR300i PRO, finishing in fourth place, just three seconds shy of the podium. Larrieu now holds 3rd place in the provisional E3 standings, just one point behind second.

The next round of the 24MX French Enduro Championship will take place after the summer, on September 20–21 in Orne. Before that, however, the Rieju Factory Team will tackle Round 4 of the EnduroGP World Championship in Wales.

Quotes

Rosie Rowett:

“French Championship weekend – winning both days and extending my lead in the championship. I felt very strong all weekend. Now I’m ready for EnduroGP in Wales.”

Loïc Larrieu:

“It was a tough weekend and the race was not fun at all… The results are not what we expected coming into this third round.
P5: Saturday was a day to forget, with a few mistakes, a crash, and most of all, I felt physically bad all day and couldn't give 100%...
P4: Sunday, a few more mistakes and another crash, but still, I managed to push hard all day. I missed the podium by just three seconds.
Thanks to Iván and the young mechanic for their great support as always.”
