COMPLICATED RACE FOR ALFREDO GÓMEZ WHO HAD TO ABANDON DUE TO A FALL

On Thursday the race started with a SuperEnduro type competition on a short track, with artificial obstacles, combining asphalt and dirt terrain. Alfredo Gómez arrived with enthusiasm, performing well and placing third, but a rider jumped on him in a jump, this left Alfredo bruised, despite this, he held on until he crossed the finish line, missing the podium by only one second, finishing fourth.

Again on the first day off road, Alfredo had the bad luck to fall when he was going down a river area, hitting his hip hard, this made him lose a lot of time, finishing in 13th position. Unfortunately on the second day during the tour, he noticed that physically he was not in conditions to continue, because of this, he was forced to abandon.

Alfredo Gómez:

"The truth is that the race didn't go too well, during the prologue Kabakchiev fell on me in a jump when I was third and this caused a cut in my mouth and foot, but without serious consequences, despite this I was able to finish fourth. On the first day in the mountains I had a fall and hit my hip hard, although I was hurt I was able to finish the day. On the second day I went out again, but I had to withdraw early because I was in a lot of pain from the previous day's blow, I had to go very slowly and I couldn't sit down, so I couldn't finish".
