ROWETT AND LARRIEU STAND OUT IN THE 1ST ROUND OF THE 2025 ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP OF FRANCE

The French Enduro Championship held this past weekend the first race of 2025, in the Brittany region. The race, masterfully organized by the Moto Club Côtes d'Armor Moto Verte, consisted of two days and started in the town of Hénon. The participation of more than 300 riders was remarkable, who suffered under a harsh weather, with the presence of rain during the whole weekend, leaving the special stages and the rally muddy and very delicate.

All categories were hotly contested and the Rieju Factory Team stood out in this competition. On Saturday, Loïc Larrieu made his debut on the new MR300i in the hotly contested E3 class, finishing sixth in the category at the end of the three laps. On the second day, the weather took a turn for the worse, with rain during the night and on the first lap on Sunday, leaving the special stages very broken. Despite these difficulties, Larrieu managed to improve his times from Saturday and at the controls of the MR300i, he obtained an excellent second position in E3.

For her part, the British Rosie Rowett with her MR250, started Saturday's race very strong, achieving spectacular times during the first lap, enough to win at the end of the day with a lead of seven seconds over her French rival, in the demanding and disputed day. On Sunday, Rowett again dominated the category under very difficult conditions, putting in a stellar performance by setting excellent times, finishing again on the top step of the podium, but this time, she left the second classified with a difference of 5 minutes, spectacular!

In the provisional classification of the Championship, Rosie Rowett is the outstanding leader in the Women's category with 50 points and Loïc Larrieu is fourth in E3.

The second round of the French Championship will be held in Saint-Jean-D'Angely on May 30 and June 1.

Rosie Rowett:

“The weekend was very good for me. Winning both days leaves me leader of the French championship. I'm very happy with my riding on Sunday, given the conditions. The rain last night broke up the track, but I had fun and I'm ready to go to Spain to race next weekend.”

Loïc Larrieu:

“First round of the French Championship and also my first race of the year. The conditions of this race were good, although difficult, with some tricky sections. The course was muddy and the special stages were very technical.
The first day I finished sixth, at the beginning I fell and lost a lot of time, so I fought all day to try to recover positions.
On Sunday there was a lot of rain all night and in the morning. The track was even more destroyed and technical. In the end, we improved our times and finished second.
We want to fight for the first place and yesterday we had a lot of mistakes and some problems, but today was a much better day. We made some improvements on the bike that will be useful for the future, so we can fight for the first place next time.
Thanks to the team for helping me in these special conditions with so much rain. And congratulations to Rosie for winning in the Women's category, it's a great result.”
