It has been four years since the French Enduro Championship last stopped in Brittany, so the organising motorbike club, Goudelin Le Merzer, decided to pull out all the stops and give the French riders a worthy welcome for the third event of the season. In addition to three superb special stages through the surrounding forests and meadows, the riders had to cover almost two and a half hours of liaison through the magnificent Breton countryside to familiarise themselves with the competition. Conditions were ideal, although rain made an occasional appearance on both days, with a few scattered showers adding a little spice to the competition.
Mireia Badia, returned to competition after a two month break due to a fractured radius and ulna during one of the Enduro GP races. With an epic return, Badia won with authority throughout the weekend, scoring points in all the stages of both days, this explains the huge difference that separates her from her rivals: on Saturday she won by 34 seconds and on Sunday by 55.
With two good fourth places, local rider Léo Le Quéré put in a good performance at the halfway point of the championship, which keeps him in the provisional top three and allows him to hope for a good final performance.

"I'm happy with how the weekend went after almost two months without racing. Although it took me a while to get into the rhythm on Saturday, I felt better and better as the stages went by and on Sunday I had an excellent feeling. I felt more confident, which explains my good times. I'm now second in the championship, it's incredible!

"Running in Brittany was a bit of a special experience for me: I met a lot of people and I was involved to some extent in the organisation of the race, mapping out the stages with the club's volunteers. All in all, I have to admit that I had a bit of an advantage running here. The results at the end of Sunday afternoon and the two days of racing were positive, with two fourth places, although obviously I would have liked to have finished on the podium on both days. But the category was very big and I made some mistakes that prevented me from getting better results. Especially on Saturday, when I crashed twice, but fortunately not seriously. In any case, I'm still third in the championship, which is positive. I'm in perfect physical condition and I'm getting better and better on the bike, so I'll do my best to keep it and reward the factory for believing in me".
The next round of the championship will take place on 9 and 10 September at Chabreloche (63).
