Mixed results for Loïc Larrieu in the French Championship

Physical problems complicate Loïc Larrieu's performance in the French Enduro Championship, where he finished 4th on Saturday and had to retire on Sunday.

Mixed results for Loïc Larrieu in the French Championship

Just at the end of August, the French Enduro Championship took the opportunity to celebrate the fourth qualifying round in the town of Saint-Agrève, in the department of Ardèche, where the French riders enjoyed an exciting competition.

A race that started on Friday evening at 18.00 hours with a super test, to continue during the next two days of Saturday and Sunday with magnificent specials and under very pleasant weather conditions.

The Rieju Factory Team rider, Loïc Larrieu, was not at 100% in this fourth race because he was ill and although on Saturday, thanks to his skills and persistence, he managed to save the day, finishing in fourth position in the E-3 class, on Sunday his physical condition worsened and after several falls he decided to abandon the race to avoid worse evils.

In less than two weeks, Loïc Larrieu will compete in the last race of the EnduroGP World Championship, also in France, specifically in Brioude, from September 13 to 15.

Loïc Larrieu:
“I arrived sick at the penultimate race of the French championship in Saint Agreve. I did the best I could in these conditions and on Saturday I was able to finish fourth. Unfortunately on Sunday I felt even worse and without energy. As I wanted to try anyway I started the competition, but I made too many mistakes (with two crashes in two specials). Seeing that I was not lucid enough to ride safely, I preferred to stop. I hate giving up, I'm sorry for the team. Now I have to rest and take care of myself so that I can be in top form for my home GP in two weeks' time”.
