Victory for Mireia Badia in the Cózar Enduro, Closing in on a New Title

Mireia Badia claims a clear win among the women's category

Victory for Mireia Badia in the Cózar Enduro, Closing in on a New Title

The penultimate round of the Spanish Enduro Championship was held this weekend in Cózar (Ciudad Real), where the riders of the Rieju Factory Team once again stood out positively.

This one-day event introduced an Enduro Sprint format, counting only three special stages but with five timed runs and no characteristic rally stage. The terrain was filled with rocks and had low grip conditions.

It’s worth highlighting that, as a tribute to the victims of the recent floods in Valencia, all Rieju team motorcycles were decorated with the names of the affected localities. Additionally, Alejandro Andreu, a rider from Aldaia who personally experienced the catastrophe, took to the podium on Saturday with his MR300 to observe a minute of silence with everyone present.

The recently crowned Women's World Champion, Mireia Badia, despite the challenging terrain, had no trouble dominating, setting the best times in every stage of the day and reaching the top of the podium. Mireia remains the clear leader and is now close to clinching another Spanish Championship title.

Meanwhile, María San Miguel fought a race that improved over time, battling her rival to secure a third-place podium finish.

Among other notable MR PRO riders, Alejandro Andreu was highly competitive and secured a significant victory in the Senior C 2T class. In the TN Junior category, Juan Rey, a Hard Enduro specialist, stepped up to compete, finishing on the podium in an impressive third place.

The Spanish Enduro Championship final will take place in two weeks in Obejo (Córdoba), an event that will carry double points.

Mireia Badia – Rieju Factory Team:

"In the end, it went well, although at the start of the first lap, I struggled a bit with the rocky terrain and the lack of ruts, which made it hard to gain confidence. But the stages improved a bit, and I got more of a feel for it. I'm pleased with how the times turned out."
