NEWCASTLE CELEBRATES THE SIXTH ROUND OF SUPERENDURO

NEWCASTLE, UNITED KINGDOM, CELEBRATES THE SIXTH ROUND OF THE WORLD SUPERENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP

NEWCASTLE CELEBRATES THE SIXTH ROUND OF SUPERENDURO

The sixth and penultimate round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship was held in Newcastle (UK), a round in which the Rieju Factory Team was represented by Dominik Olszowy in the Prestige class, along with Toby Martyn. In the Junior class, Àlex Puey was unfortunately unable to compete as he is on sick leave due to the injury he sustained at the Hungarian GP.

The track prepared inside the Utilita Arena in Newcastle was one of the widest and most balanced of this season, combining fast and technical areas, highlighting the large stones, with low grip, in races that were not easy at all, both for the type of track and the high competitive level shown by the PRO drivers, which contributed to intense battles that were followed by a crowd of passionate fans who filled the stadium to the flag.

During the SuperPole, Dominik Olszowy was fast, setting the fifth fastest time on the track. In the first of the three races, Olszowy finished seventh, while Toby Martyn dropped out on the third lap.

In the second race, Olszowy, who started with the inverted position, fine-tuned his driving to finish sixth, as did Toby Martyn who took ninth position. The third and last race of the night, was the most successful for the Polish driver, finishing fifth and his teammate Martyn came in twelfth position. With these results, the British GP ended with Olszowy in sixth place and Toby Martyn in twelfth.

Now, with only one round to go in the 2025 SuperEnduro World Championship, to be held next week in Lievin (France), Dominik Olszowy is in sixth place in the provisional overall standings with a total of 175 points, while Toby Martyn is twelfth with 82 points.
