WILL HOARE AND DOMINIK OLSZOWY SAVE A COMPLICATED HUNGARY GP FROM SUPERNEDURO

The 2024 season of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship continues to advance with the celebration of the Hungarian GP, the fifth scoring event.

The town of Budapest hosted the best international SuperEnduro riders in its new MVM Dome stadium and our representatives from the Rieju Factory Team, Will Hoare and Dominik Olszowy, did not miss the event, driving their MR 300 PRO.

After passing the pre-qualifying rounds, the two drivers qualified for the SuperPole, where only the seven best ones face the track in search of the best time, in this case on a longer, more dynamic and faster route than in the previous test. Will Hoare set the fourth best time, while Dominik Olszowy obtained the seventh.

In the first of the three finals, Will Hoare started quickly and placed between fourth and fifth, maintaining an intense fight until the end, when he entered sixth; Olszowy, who started from the last row, overtook his rivals until he finished in eighth position.

The second race, with an inverted start, was quite eventful, Olszowy quickly placed himself in the battle for the top three, maintaining an exciting heat until a fall on the logs caused him to finish seventh. Hoare did not start well and was last, being forced to make up positions throughout the race. Shortly before the end, a second crash after another driver hit him meant that he was far from achieving a good result, finishing in tenth position.

The third and last final of the night arrived, which was proving to be very complicated, with some very explosive races, where Hoare came out well, placing himself in the top five, but shortly after he got caught in the logs, losing time. He had to push and recover positions, but towards the end a small error once again set him back, crossing the finish line in seventh position, while his teammate Olszowy, after overcoming some errors, finished eighth.

In the sum of the final three races, Hoare finishes in seventh position in the GP, while Olszowy in eighth, tying the two with 25 points. With these results, their provisional positions in the championship are maintained.

In three weeks, the Bulgarian GP, in the town of Sofia, will hold the sixth qualifying round of the SuperEnduro World Championship.

Provisional general classification of drivers:

2nd Jonny Walker 268 points
