One of the most mythical races of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship calendar, Red Bull Romaniacs, took place this week in Sibiu (Romania). This fourth race of the World Championship stood out for the great competitiveness among the riders.

Alfredo Gómez finishes eighth at the challenging Red Bull Romaniacs

The spectacular prologue race was held again in the center of the town, in front of a large crowd of fans who did not want to miss the best international riders trying to overcome an always technical artificial track, very demanding in this race.

Great performance of Alfredo Gomez who started at a high level, fighting with his MR REPLICA against very strong rivals and despite a small fall, managed to recover to finish in an excellent second place on the podium in this complex prologue of Red Bull Romaniacs.

Already in the Carpathian Mountains, Alfredo faced a first Offroad day that was really very hard, with more than eight hours of bike overcoming very demanding sections and even shortly after finishing, the rain was present in the area. Day in which he finished in eleventh position in the top Gold class. On the second Offroad day, with a marathon type stage, the competitors rode a very technical high mountain route, with spectacular scenery, where Gómez finished in tenth place. The third day Off road, second part of the marathon stage, through steep climbs and steep descents, Alfredo improved his position to finish eighth.

Finally came the last day of competition, with a shorter route, but equally demanding, where Gomez would repeat the eighth position on arrival at the finish line in Gusterita and thus finished in eighth place in the final Red Bull Romaniacs 2024.

After four rounds of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship, Alfredo Gómez moves up to ninth place with 24 points.

Alfredo Gómez – Rieju Factory Team:

“The prologue went very well because I finished second, while in the race, my goal was to finish in the top ten and in the end I finished eighth, so good. I would have liked to push a little harder, but it wasn't possible, but I'm still happy to finish eighth, plus the three points from the prologue, so I'm sure we'll finish pretty high up and those are good points for the championship, so good”.
