MIREIA BADIA CROWNED FIM ENDURO WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION 2024

After achieving 3 World Championship runner-ups, she finally got the dreamed title, winning in France, before the last day of the race.

MIREIA BADIA CROWNED FIM ENDURO WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPION 2024

In the FIM Enduro 2024 Paulo Duarte World Championship, a competition that is being held this weekend in the French town of Brioude, in its last round of the season, the official Rieju Factory Team rider, Mireia Badia, has won her first World Champion title in the Women's category, before the last day of competition on Sunday.

It should be noted that this season 2024 has been really hard for the competitors, since in addition to the own demand of the five tests held in double day between Portugal (in two GP), Italy, Wales and the latter in France, the changing weather, between dry and broken or rainy and muddy terrain, left a very slippery timed specials, being difficult to stay fast and at the same time avoid problems and crashes. In addition, her rivals have fought to the end and have not made things easy for Mireia.

Under these conditions, Badia, at the controls of his Rieju MR PRO, has shown a great level, competitiveness and reliability, winning in 6 out of 10 rounds. In fact, since the second round in Portugal he was already leading the provisional classification, keeping very fast until the end in France, where today, Saturday, he only needed three points to win the championship.

On this first day Mireia went out at full throttle in the first special stage, where she set the best time, but soon after she suffered a fall that made her drop to sixth place. From this moment on, she started a battle to recover positions, constantly attacking until she finished in an excellent second position, a result that allowed her to win a hard-earned and dreamed title.

Tomorrow, Sunday, Mireia Badia will compete again in this demanding test, repeating the same specials of this first day and despite having the precious trophy in her pocket, she will again seek to finish the season with another brilliant result.

The entire Rieju Factory Team would like to congratulate Mireia for her great effort and tenacity, making an extraordinary season that has earned her this important title for the Spanish brand, which continues to add successes with its MR Enduro.

Mireia Badia - Rieju Factory Team:
“The truth is that I am very happy to have won the title today, Saturday. We started the day a little bit bad and I had to come back to second position. So I am very excited and grateful to all the people who have come to support me, and also to the whole Rieju team and the RFME for always being by my side.”.
