Rieju Factory Racing shines in the first round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship!

Dominik Olszowy finishes 2nd in Prestige with new RIEJU MR PRO 300i for the first time Àlex Puey debuts with a splendid 2nd place in the Junior class

Rieju Factory Racing shines in the first round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship!

The Rieju Factory Racing team competed on Saturday in the first round of the SuperEnduro 2025 World Championship, held in Poland, with three riders in the race, Dominik Olszowy alongside Toby Martyn in the Prestige class and Àlex Puey in Junior; the latter two riders are newcomers to the team.

The track designed within the PreZero Arena, in the town of Gliwice, offered fast areas, mixed with very technical parts, with a loose sandy terrain, proving very demanding for the competitors.

In the Prestige class, Dominik Olszowy, very lively after his results in the AMA Endurocross, stopped the clock with the fourth best time of the SuperPole. During the first race he was a fighter, finishing in third position. In the second race and despite the inverted start, he was impressive; captivating his audience that was cheering him throughout the event, he achieved a great victory, beating the best riders in the world at the controls of his new Rieju MR PRO 300i. In the third race of the night he made another great exhibition of riding, in full battle with the current world champion, finishing in second position. With these fantastic results, Dominik managed to climb to the second position on the final podium, Olszowy is now second in the provisional overall standings.

Toby Martyn made his debut in the SuperEnduro specialty in the Prestige class, and despite his great technique, logically suffered the problems of being a debutant in very fast and explosive competitions, suffering several crashes that delayed the British rider, finishing with results of 13th/13th/11th.

Spectacular debut of Àlex Puey in the Junior category

During the qualifying rounds, it was already clear that Àlex Puey, despite making his debut in the specialty in the Junior class, with the team and still without practically riding the Rieju MR PRO 250, could perform well. Indeed, in the first race of the afternoon he surprised with his technique and speed, finishing in an excellent first position. During the second race, where the riders start in reverse order, that is to say, they start from the second row, Puey had to work hard to move up positions on a soft sand track where it was easy to get stuck, despite this, he finished in eighth position. But again in the third and last race of the night, Àlex, was again at his best, fighting in the first positions, to finish in second place, results that put the Rieju rider in a magnificent second place on the podium in this first race of the world championship.

The second round of the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship will be held in Riesa, Germany, on January 4, 2025.

Dominik Olszowy:

“The first round of the SuperEnduro 2025 World Championship in Gliwice was amazing! Riding the new Rieju MR PRO 300i, I took my first win in the Prestige class and finished second overall - it was incredible! Many thanks to my team for their hard work and to the fans for their incredible support: they made it unforgettable!”

Àlex Puey:

“Very happy the truth, my first SuperEnduro race, unbeatable I think. I started the training getting the third position; to be able to enter the qualifying I was placed fourth. Where it was important to go fast I got the first place to choose the place on the grid. In the first race I finished first, in the second race I started from the second row, this made it difficult for me to find the rhythm of the race as I was new in this discipline, finishing eighth. But in the last race I finished second. I am more than happy and I want to thank the whole team, it was brutal!”

Toby Martyn:

“My first night of racing was very bumpy, but I learned a lot after suffering a lot of crashes in the first race. I improved little by little throughout the night. Now it's time to work hard over Christmas for round two. Thanks to the team for everything they did.”

Miquel García, Team Manager RIEJU FACTORY RACING:
“Great start in the SuperEnduro World Championship with Dominik Olszowy and Àlex Puey.
Dominik Olszowy made his debut with the new 300i injection engine, his results confirm that we are on the right track. Together, team, riders and bike, we start a season that promises to be brilliant. We will continue to work to bring the RIEJU name to the top at every race.”
