WILL HOARE'S DEBUT FOR THE RIEJU FACTORY TEAM AT THE ROMANIAN SUPERENDURO GP AND FOURTH PLACE FINISH FOR DOMINIK OLSZOWY AT THE DIFFICULT ROMANIAN GP, WITH RIEJU STILL THIRD IN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

The fourth round of the 2024 SuperEnduro World Championship was held for the first time at the BT Arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The track was narrow and too ratty, with a lot of logs, causing slower races than usual and where the participants got caught easily.

Representing the Rieju Factory Team, the Polish rider Dominik Olszowy competed, accompanied by the brand's new signing, British rider Will Hoare, who will take part this season in both SuperEnduro and the Hard Enduro World Championship.

After the practice sessions, the riders faced the Super Pole, a timed test where Will Hoare set the fifth fastest time, followed by Dominik Olszowy with the sixth fastest time in the top Prestige class.

In the first final, both Hoare and Olszowy were battling among the top five in the championship for several laps of the race, with Hoare finishing fourth and Olszowy fifth.

In the second, the drivers started with an inverted grid, in a race that saw constant changes at the top of the standings, with Dominik Olszowy showing great technique and physicality to sneak into the top riders and finish third, while Will Hoare found himself more handicapped by the continuous hook-ups, finishing eighth.

In the third and last final of the night, the battles were intense again, with Dominik Olszowy taking fifth place, while Will Hoare again found the race difficult, finishing eighth.

In the sum of the standings of the three races, Dominik Olszowy concludes the Romanian GP in fourth place and Will Hoare in seventh, results that after four rounds of the SuperEnduro World Championship, Will Hoare is fourth in the provisional overall standings and Dominik Olszowy fifth.

In the World Championship standings, Rieju is in third position.

The fifth round of the SuperEnduro World Championship will take place on 3 February at the MVM Dome in Budapest, Hungary.

Dominik Olszowy:

"It was the first SuperEnduro race in Romania and there were a lot of logs. I am happy with my riding and with my fourth position overall after the tough race in Germany. We will keep working for the next race in Hungary".

Will Hoare:

“Pretty steady race from me tonight. I think the track didn’t help been so bad and also some mistakes on my behalf but I’m happy with the bike we work now untill the next round to make if more comfortable for me. Not a bad job with only one ride on the bike before the event. See you at the next round”.
