Mireia Badia with Rieju, is proclaimed runner-up in the GP Women's Enduro World Championship!

Thanks to her great consistency, with seven podiums in 2nd position and one in 3rd, the Rieju rider was able to shine once again in Enduro GP.

Mireia Badia with Rieju, is proclaimed runner-up in the GP Women's Enduro World Championship!

The German Grand Prix, an event held this weekend in the town of Zschopau, the fourth and last double points-scoring round for the women's category in the FIM Enduro World Championship, brought to a close an intense EnduroGP season.

Rieju Team rider Mireia Badia, once again demonstrating her competitiveness, arrived in Germany in high spirits to defend the 2021 women's vice-championship and despite the difficulties of this race, on a delicate terrain with many ruts and roots and which was also muddy, she maintained her high level.

On Saturday she started with a complicated first lap, a fall in the extreme test made her lose a lot of time, but she recovered in the second lap, going from a provisional eighth position to secure the third place on the podium. This was the only race of the eight-race World Championship in which she dropped a step, as she has always finished second, even so, finishing in third position allowed her to continue to opt for the final runner-up title.

On Sunday she refined her riding and despite some crashes, she managed to dominate her opponents with a more regular performance, to finish the race in a good second position, which allows her to win the title of Runner-up of the 2022 Women's World Championship.

A great season for Mireia Badia with the Rieju Team, who in this 2022 season adds another new and important achievement, after taking third place individually in the Women's World Trophy class at the 96th edition of the Six International Enduro Days, held in France in September.

Mireia Badia:
"Friday started with the SuperTest quite badly, with several crashes, just like on Saturday when on the first lap I got caught up and had a crash on the extreme special, where I lost quite a lot of time, dropping to eighth position, despite this, during the second lap I was able to recover time and positions to finish the first day in third place. Sunday started better, despite falling again, I kept second, to finish in the same position. It was a complicated race, with a terrain that degraded considerably. Well, in the end I'm happy.

The season in general has been positive, yes with the 2-stroke in some specials it was more difficult to be fast and in other specials it has made things easier, there have been complicated moments, but I have always been able to solve them and finish on the podium, very happy with the team and with the overall performance of the bike".
