THE RIEJU TEAM IS READY TO TAKE ON THE GREAT ADVENTURE, DAKAR 2023

The 45th edition of the Dakar Rally has begun to rumble with the opening of the first bivouac at the Sea Camp set up on the shores of the Red Sea, in Saudi territory, where the teams have already passed the administrative checks of the race, under a great competitive atmosphere.

Rieju is facing its third consecutive Dakar with riders Dani Nosiglia and Patricio Cabrera, repeating in the team, and with Diego Llanos and Sandra Gómez, who are making their debut with the Rieju Team.

For 28-year-old rider Dani Nosiglia this will be his sixth Dakar and aims to improve his 17th place finish in Dakar 2022, the Bolivian is very motivated and ready to fight for the top 15.

Diego Llanos will be Rieju's representative in the Rally2 category, for the Argentinean rider this will be his second participation in the Dakar. In his debut in the last edition he finished 26th overall, so this year, with more experience, he can make it to the front of Rally2.

Spanish rider Sandra Gomez arrives at the Dakar 2023 with a hunger for victory among the women, remembering her second place in this category in the 2022 edition, the year of her debut. Now, after overcoming mononucleosis and competing in the last two rallies, she feels stronger and more experienced to fight for the final victory with the Rieju Team.

In this year's edition, Patricio Cabrera can achieve a world record by becoming the youngest Legend rider in the history of the event, therefore, the Chilean rider will wear green, in commemoration of the Legend collection that Rieju has presented on the occasion of its 80th anniversary.

All of them will be provided with bikes and assistance by the renowned Xraids Experience team.

Tomorrow, Saturday, December 31, the last day of 2022, the podium ceremony will be held and, once the riders descend the ramp, they will start a short 11-kilometer prologue stage, where the 2023 Dakar Rally will finally get underway.

#54 Dani Nosiglia:
"The truth is that I am very happy, we have worked very hard throughout this year to try to improve in each edition. We come very strong, although the level has increased a lot in recent years, but well, I'm feeling positive, we will work hard to do a very good Dakar this year. Our strategy is to make as few mistakes as possible, try to be as precise as we can to get a good final result; we have been working for this all year and things will happen day by day. I am very grateful to the whole Rieju team and XRaids Experience for trusting me again and for being able to work together on this Dakar; a very special thanks to all the people who are always there following me.

#29 Diego Llanos:
"I'm feeling better every day, I've been training hard these last few weeks. I feel more comfortable after my first Dakar, I go with more experience, another mentality, with a team that supports me a great deal and really well, I'm happy about it all. We will try to be competitive in my Rally2 category. Tomorrow we face the prologue stage, we will try to be among the front riders."

#56 Sandra Gómez:
"I'm pretty good, I'm looking forward to it, I think it's something very important because it has been a very complicated year for me, I had mononucleosis during the summer and health-wise it has been a difficult year, but this is like a prize, a gift to have overcome the disease and start to be stronger. Now I feel much better, I've been able to train for a few months, ride in Morocco and Andalusia, I'm more prepared than last year for sure, I know what I'm coming to mentally and how it is physically, although they say it will be a tough Dakar. We already tested the bike in the shakedown and everything is in order and ready, so let's rest what little we have left and hit the gas!".

#35 Patricio Cabrera:
"We are very happy, this is a very special Dakar for me, I'm becoming Legend this year because it is my tenth Dakar rally and this will make me the youngest rider in the history of the rally to be Legend. I am very happy to be part of the Rieju team again, they are very professional people. I hope it will be a good Dakar, they say it's going to be one of the hardest, it's much longer than last year, so you have to ride very smart and enjoy yourself on the bike. Let's hope it will be a tremendous Dakar rally, we can do it.

Miquel Garcia- Rieju Team Manager:
"Very happy to be in this Dakar 2023 with half a renewed team, Dani Nosiglia and Pato Cabrera are still with us this year, we have incorporated Diego Llanos and Sandra Gomez, we really like having a woman in our team. This year we will do this adventure with Xraids Experience, we could not be in better hands. Our goal is that the four bikes reach the end of the Dakar and to spread the word about Rieju all over the world.

After a year of doing enduro and hard enduro races, it would be very positive for all of us to finish this Dakar to end an intense season in a brilliant way".

LET'S START OUR ENGINES, GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!
