Oriol Mena has crossed the finish line of stage 2 on the 15th position with a time of 04H 39' 10''(+ 00H 21' 14'') while his teammate Joan Pedrero, on the 26th position, has concluded the stage with a time of 4H 47' 56"(+ 00H 30' 00''). Finally, Marc Calmet has crossed the finish line in position 53 with certain difficulties:
"It was a very fast stage, in which we have tested the dunes from the very beginning, there has been a section of 30-40 kms from the beginning. At the end of that section, I had a small fall, I tripped on a dune. When hitting the ground, the airbag opened and I had to stop to change it. From there I've picked up a good rhythm, without running too much, without taking too many risks. Glad to be here, tomorrow we will attack again."
Very good feelings on the second stage of the Dakar for all the drivers. We are very proud of the results.
