Successful work of RIEJU RACE SERVICE at the 6DAYS of Galicia

With the sixth day of competition in Galicia, the 98th edition of the FIM 6DAYS of Spain 2024 came to an end, on a Saturday day shorter than usual with the celebration of the Motocross race.

In the Six International Days of Enduro, once again, professional riders have mixed in teams representing their countries, with racing enthusiasts, totaling more than 550 participants. A competition that has been characterized by the high hardness both for the terrain itself, always very demanding in the northwest of Spain, between special and technical routes, along with a changing weather, where the presence of rain during most of the days, including fog, left a very muddy and slippery terrain that complicated the passage of the riders, and even on the last day, was almost impassable.

The RIEJU factory, through the RIEJU RACE SERVICE has once again had an outstanding presence in the competition, setting up in the huge Paddock of Silleda to provide the rental service of the MR 6DAYS motorcycles, as well as assistance for the 14 riders from different countries such as the United States, Chile, Argentina, Italy, Portugal, as well as Spain; all of them have once again placed their trust in the Spanish brand to compete with guarantees in the most important international enduro event of the season.

In terms of results, the race has been very close, with rivals of the highest level who have given everything in the specials. We must highlight some results, all of them on the MR 6DAYS, such as the US rider Tyler Vore who finished in 6th position with his team in Club Team Award, Yago Dominguez of the RFME team, who despite suffering an injury on day 4, finished in sixth place in Junior World Trophy; Frederico Rocha in the same class, finished with the Portuguese team in seventh position.

Part of the Spanish women's team, with Mireia Badia and María San Miguel at the controls of the RIEJU, remained in fifth position until the penultimate day, but due to the withdrawal of one of the team members, they would finish in eighth position. The current EnduroGP Women's World Champion, Mireia Badia, remained throughout the competition in second position in the Women's individual classification, in a terrain that is not exactly her forte, but some crashes finally ruined her excellent work, to finish in fourth position. Badia completes a season that has been spectacular for the RIEJU rider.

We would like to thank once again our customers with whom we have lived and shared some intense days of racing and who have trusted in the professionalism of our services, driving our MR 6DAYS to face this long and hard test.

Mireia Badia:

"The truth is that I started well the 6DAYS, the first, second and third day were my best days, I finished second, third and second, so I am very happy with my performance, I was fighting in front with Rachel, Brandy, Jessica... and very well. While the fourth day was the most complicated because I suffered many crashes, almost in each of the time trials of the day. The fifth day I started better, but again I crashed in the last special and lost everything. On Saturday in the Motocross, in the same start I had a fall and with the mud I had a hard time recovering. In the end I was not too happy, as you are always looking for the best result, but well. As a team we were classified in fifth position, but Maria had some problems, but in spite of that, in general, we endured very well the hardness of the race and the fifth position, until the first five days of the race.”.

Miquel García – Team Manager Rieju Factory Team:

“As a brand, in the 6Days we have been offering this service for some years, as in Italy, France, Argentina and this is the fourth in Spain, with this, we give visibility to the brand, being in all the races and precisely the 6 days, is one of the most important. We make this professional Rental Service very economical, because for us it is not our business, but ours is to sell motorcycles, we do it to give an opportunity to the riders, offering the rental of a 2-stroke motorcycle, with tires, mousses, food, etc., against much higher prices. We are very happy and satisfied, I want to thank all the customers who have come, also, I want to emphasize that in a race as demanding as this, the bikes have not given a single problem.”.
