Pedrero's seniority leads him to 17th place in a 4th stage where navigation has been key. Joan Pedrero ends the stage with a time of 02H 59'14 '' (+ 00H 12 '24'). Oriol Mena finished the race in 32nd place with a time of 03H 17 '17' '(+ 00H 30' 27 '').
Finally, the third rider of the Rieju Team, Marc Calmet, finished in 54th place after suffering a crash in which the bike hit him. Despite the spectacular nature of the incident, he is recovering well, after a review by the team's physiotherapist. The rookie remains within the top50, gaining confidence every day. He himself told us:
"I'm fine, despite the fall I've had. It was a shame because I was on a good pace, but these things happen. The positive thing I get from today is that I have learned that I have to run my own race, not force situations , enjoy and be able to continue adding kilometers."
We continue with the good feeling on this fourth stage of the Dakar. We are very proud of the results.
