DOUBLE WIN FOR RIEJU FACTORY TEAM AT THE ENDUROGP OF WALES

Rosie Rowett claims her first career double win in the Women’s category Rachel Gutish completes the podium in second place

After more than two months without racing, the FIM EnduroGP World Championship returned this past weekend with its fourth round, held in Rhayader, Wales.

The GP of Wales kicked off on Friday evening with the Super Test show event. Among the four riders from the RIEJU Factory Team, Rachel Gutish stood out, battling for the win with her main rival and ultimately setting the second-fastest time in the Women’s category—just 0.10 seconds off the lead, already signaling a promising weekend ahead.

Under dry conditions, the first full day of racing got underway on Saturday morning. Riders faced three different special tests, each to be completed three times.

In the Women’s class, a fierce battle unfolded between RIEJU teammates Rosie Rowett and Rachel Gutish. Rowett started strong, winning the opening specials and building a 48-second lead. However, a few mistakes cost her time and allowed Gutish to take over the provisional lead. Rowett wasn’t about to give up, and in the final special test, she launched an all-out attack to secure her first-ever world championship victory. Gutish joined her on the podium in second place, while María San Miguel finished seventh in the class.

In the Enduro3 category, Dominik Olszowy had a slower-than-usual start on the fast, high-risk Welsh tests. But he picked up the pace during the extreme test and later joined the battle among the top five, ultimately finishing the day in fifth position. Meanwhile, Alex Puey had a mixed performance, with some mistakes setting him back. He ended the day ninth in the J1 class and 17th in Junior.

On Sunday, the weather shifted with rain making the tests trickier and more technical.

Once again, Rosie Rowett delivered an outstanding performance to claim her second world victory of the weekend, after another intense fight with teammate Rachel Gutish—securing a fantastic 1-2 for the RIEJU Factory Racing Team.

Gutish initially set the pace by winning the first special, but a costly mistake in the extreme test dropped her down the order. Rowett took the lead by the end of the first lap, holding an eight-second advantage. She then went on to win the final two specials to seal her second win, with Gutish recovering well to take second. María San Miguel wrapped up her weekend with an eighth-place finish.

Olszowy remained competitive in Enduro3, finishing the second day in sixth position. Alex Puey started aggressively, but an early mistake in the extreme test cost him time. He improved his consistency afterward to finish 16th in Junior and 9th in J1.

Following these results, Rachel Gutish now sits second in the provisional Women’s standings with 68 points, while Rosie Rowett climbs to third with 64. Dominik Olszowy holds sixth place in Enduro3 with 75 points, and Alex Puey is seventh in J1 with 68 points.

Rosie Rowett:
“It was really a great round, finishing with a 1-1 result after a tough weekend on the bike. I managed to take control and I’m now back in the fight for the world title. Thanks to the whole team for their support.”

Dominik Olszowy:
“After a short summer break, we were back racing for round four of the EnduroGP. Following a crash in the Super Test, I managed two consistent days in the fast Welsh tests, finishing fifth and sixth in the Enduro3 class with my Rieju MR300i.”
